No Error – no error has been raised. This message does not normally appear.

Cannot find stop magnet – this can occur during the Home procedure. According to the Pyxis manual, it may appear if the unit is jammed and cannot rotate properly.

New PA = current PA – the GoTo command sent to the Pyxis contains the same angle it is currently set to, so no movement will occur.

Position angle out of range – a command to GoTo an angle >= 360° has been issued. This should not occur as conditioning of the commanded angle is performed by PyxisControl.

New Home position too close to magnet – this error code is not explained in the Pyxis manual, but should not occur as PyxisControl does not offer the possibility to change the Home position.

Halt has occured and Home is needed – this warning is issued if any GoTo command is issued after Stopping a move. For this reason the STOP button should only be used in emergencies.

Error: Initialisation Error – the selected serial port could not be opened (before trying to communicate with the Pyxis).

Error: Not Initalised – a Pyxis command has been sent without the the serial port being initialised and communications with the Pyxis established.

Warning: movement ABORTED – the STOP button has been pressed and movement stopped. A Home routine will be necessary before further movement commands.

Warning: increment set to 0.0 – choose a non-zero increment as no movement will be made with this increment size.

Increment is less than the Pyxis step size – choose a larger increment to enable incremental movement.

Power-up behaviour can't be modified – the Power-up behaviour menu is not applicable to the Pyxis 2-inch (as the 2-inch Pyxis cannot maintain its posiiton without power) or to Pyxis 3-inch models with firmware version 3.00 or 3.10.

TSX connected, no FOVI selected – the TCP link to TheSkyX is connected and working, but no FOVI has yet been selected.

TSX FOVI selected – the FOVI for TheSkyX has been selected and can now be controlled by PyxisControl.

Warning: TSX not connected, check server – the TCP connection has not been established. Check that the TCP server in TheSkyX is active. Once this is active and listening, set up the link with the Connect TSX button on the SetUp tab. For the detailed steps see Connecting TheSkyX.

Unknown response from TheSkyX – an unrecognised message has been received. PyxisControl will try to recover.

Pyxis connected – the Pyxis has been connected and initialised.

Finding Home – the Pyxis is performing its Homing routine.

Parking – the Pyxis is going to its parking position.

Going to Sleep – the Pyxis is entering the Sleep state where the motor is switched off and holding torque is reduced. In this state it will only respond to a Wake command (see Pyxis Commands).

Pyxis asleep – the Pyxis has entered the Sleep state. In this state it will only respond to a Wake command (see Pyxis Commands).

Pyxis cannot be moved while asleep – a command has been sent while Pyxis is in the Sleep state. In this state it will only respond to a Wake command (see Pyxis Commands).

Pyxis woken up – the Wake command has been successfully sent (see Pyxis Commands).
